Your lips are possibly the first things others see when they are interacting with you. So, why not take care of them? Jodi Miller, co-owner of Pukrup Cosmetics, uses pure lip balms, glosses and scrubs she creates to do just that.“I love my lips. I have the most beautiful lips. For a long time, I wanted something natural to use, a gloss that still retains its sheen after you eat and that’s beneficial to the body. Before now you could hardly find a good one,” Miller boldly revealed to Flair.

Certified in agriculture, it’s a dream come true for the young and ambitious woman to have her own business. Do it yourself! That is her motto. With an adventurous spirit and the love of free will, Miller finds it comforting to make her own necessities. It’s this adoration that inspired her and Kristina Wellington, her best friend, to establish and open the doors of Pukrup Cosmetics, a natural cosmetic company. It’s also motivated by Miller’s personal experiences.

For the meek and introverted entrepreneur, being a game changer is just as important as her role as a mother. So, she pushes the Pukrup brand to show others that maintaining one’s beauty can be healthy.

“I didn’t always wear make-up. But when I started, eyeliners and lip gloss would scratch because of my allergies. But now I know what I am putting on my skin and what it tolerates,” she said.

You can have this, too, Miller shared during her talk with Flair, “I believe that if I can make it, I don’t have to buy it,” she said. “We put a lot of chemicals on our faces and oftentimes we don’t take the time to care for our skin. Those chemicals have damaging impacts in the long run.”

The balms are available in eight flavours, which include lemon grass, lavender, pumpkin spice and the bestseller strawberry shortcake. 

“Our balms give you the pout that you need. It also helps with hyperpigmentation and lip hydration. It takes time to produce the results you need. It’s not a quick fix. But what makes Pukrup Cosmetics different is that the products smell great and are long-lasting,” she explained to Flair.

For the scrubs, you can choose from coffee, peppermint and honey. These are for exfoliation. To get the perfect lips, Miller is reminding you to scrub twice weekly. Plus be on the lookout for even greater products in the near future.
